Laptop Ninja
A blog FOR Laptop Ninjas, not about them.
A Laptop Ninja is a cousin of the more common Web Ronin. As a solitary figure who's skills with computer technology and design, the Laptop Ninja survives by performing contract work from cafes, public parks, and sometimes rooftops. The Laptop Ninja's sword is his 802.11 connection, his iPod his throwing stars, and his Bluetooth cellphone his Nunchucks. All of which are usually carried in a discreet messenger bag.

Not a video iPod, but the next best thing
The new Nintendo "Playan" is a unit for the Nintendo DS and Gameboy SP that will let you play video form SD cards. Only half the resolution of broadcast video, and it doesn't look like there'll be any video out jacks, but when you're bored of staring blankly at a tiny screen, you can swap it out for some sweet metroid action. Now if only the iPod shuffle would use SD cards. I want to have a playlist for every mood (and they're so damn CHEAP now).
