Laptop Ninja
A blog FOR Laptop Ninjas, not about them.
A Laptop Ninja is a cousin of the more common Web Ronin. As a solitary figure who's skills with computer technology and design, the Laptop Ninja survives by performing contract work from cafes, public parks, and sometimes rooftops. The Laptop Ninja's sword is his 802.11 connection, his iPod his throwing stars, and his Bluetooth cellphone his Nunchucks. All of which are usually carried in a discreet messenger bag.

"The streets make their own use for things" - Gibson
The Cycling Lemur Touchscreen from createdigitalmusic.com lets you create and use your own touchscreen interfaces. I wonder if it'll end up like the 404 (from Roland?). It was one of the first samplers to be commercially available and a massive flop as it was targeted at 'serious' musicians. Once it died a commercial death it could be found in pawn shops for cheap where they were quickly snatched up and used in the birth of electronic and hiphip music. At very least it'll make you feel like you're working for the federation.
