Laptop Ninja
A blog FOR Laptop Ninjas, not about them. A Laptop Ninja is a cousin of the more common Web Ronin. As a solitary figure who's skills with computer technology and design, the Laptop Ninja survives by performing contract work from cafes, public parks, and sometimes rooftops. The Laptop Ninja's sword is his 802.11 connection, his iPod his throwing stars, and his Bluetooth cellphone his Nunchucks. All of which are usually carried in a discreet messenger bag.

Social GPS
Social GPS is a cool little application that runs on GPS enabled cell phones (like Bell here in Canada). It creates a relational map of the locations of others in your social group. Originally made for snowboarding, the uses for such an application will be far reaching. When I have a kid, and when that kid is old enough to have a cell phone, you can bet that this will be installed.

No doubt GPS technology is just a few years away from being present in every type of portable electronic device, but the big brotherly potential of being located any time any where is a little daunting, eh?
